  • Do I have to walk and climb a lot of stairs? What if I'm not fit for walking?

    We got you! Our itineraries are not designed to exhaust you! Many Day Tours offer private car transportation and complimentary hotel pickup & drop-off to give you the comfortable, no rushing experience! Other tours also include public or taxi transportation and non-walking intensive route. So no, you don’t have to walk a lot, unless you specifically book the Walking Tour to challenge yourself.

  • How many people can join a private tour? Is it suitable for large groups?

    Typically up to 4 guests can join a private tour, especially private car tours where we pick you up with a 5 seater car. However, we can offer 6, 7 or even 9 seater vans too at an additional rental cost. Feel free to message me and we can tailor an experience for groups larger than 4 people!

  • How do I pay for the tour (PayPal, credit card, WeChat, etc.)?

    We accept Alipay, WeChat and Cash. Commonly Alipay is the most visitor-friendly option. We also strongly encourage you to use Alipay because this is the go-to App for your everyday business in China. Alipay can also be your transit card, hotel booking, ordering food and even ordering uber (didi).

  • Are meals included? Will you take us to authentic local restaurants or more upscale options?

    Meals are not included in the trip. Our expert tour guides can help you find the best food options.

  • What if I'm on a specific diet? Like vegan, Halal food?

    Chongqing is 100% vegan friendly! A lot of food are vegan by default and you can add some protein in your liking. Halal food are slightly harder to find. But the street of Jiaochangkou (较场口) have a bunch of muslim restaurants available and even Halal hotpot! Our expert local guides understand your needs and will help you find the most suitable food!

  • Is Chongqing food really spicy? Should I try HotPot?

    This is the biggest misconception of Chongqing! You can actually find tons of non spicy food options in the city. Also most locals would prefer mild than spicy. And yes, you should definitely try hotpot! whether you like meat or vegetables, you can boil whatever ingredients you’d like! If you are absolutely terrified of spice, you can request a dual broth hotpot where there’s a divider: One half spicy, the other half is none spicy clear broth. (tomato or mushroom)

  • Do you offer photography services during the trip?

    Yes! We offer photography as an add-on service on top of the tours you book. We also offer a few unique Chongqing photoshoot experiences on iconic rooftop observation decks.

  • What's the best season to visit Chongqing?

    Spring and Fall are the most comfortable season. Summer is hot but it has the perks of seeing cotton candy type of blue skies everyday as Chongqing is mostly cloudy throughout the year. Winter never drops below 0 degrees Celsius and the nightlife is exciting as nighttime is longer.
